Sunday Sketch and a page from my Sketchbook

hi everyone. I am a bit late with my sketch today.  I did three other sketches but didn't like any of them, so I finally did one of my big-eyed girls faces.
I glued a butterfly on her hair for fun.
Please check out Blue Chair Diary's blog for details about Sunday sketches as well as other participating artists.

A Page from my Sketchbook

I enjoy showing a random page from my sketchbook weekly. A lot of them are in pencil and faded so it's sometimes tough to pick one out.  Here I was trying to create new characters for small folk art paintings. A lot of my pages are filled with written ideas, color ideas, titles, and lots of random stuff. They wouldn't make much sense to anyone else.
Coming soon (hopefully) is a painting of my bunny girl which I drew  last week....
Are any of you artists interested in sharing one of your sketchbook pages? I'd love to see how you  work.

Love the mouth and the eyes are awesome! Thanks for sharing your frustrations...I had the same thing happen to me this week - went through several sheets before settling on one I liked.

Have a great Sunday!

she looks kind of sad, I do like how you draw eyes, they have so many personality to them

Hi Pink! I LOVE your big-eyed girls, they rock! Like Lissa said they do have tons of personality and I love how you pay such special attention to the details like those lips. The butterfly is a cute addition too.

Love your sketchbook great ideas! I tend to do more one-page sketches, but if I get good group of them going I'll be sure to share.

Thanks for your kind and encouraging comments, I so appreciate it!

Happy SS!

LOVE the big eyes. The butterfly is a great addition, too.

I draw and sketch with pencils, pens and even Sharpie's sometimes...when I feel I need to draw a quick sketch I pick up what is closest...It's fun to peek at other artist's sketch books...!
Happy Sunday, Heather

Hi Pink, thanks for stopping by. I love your big eyed girl and the butterfly just makes it pop. You have a very fun sketch book. Most of mine I can't show as they are what I call thumbnail sketches, very small and hard to scan or photo.

I like your idea of showing a page from your sketch book. I noticed one or two other folks doing the same thing. I will try to remember to show one of mine next week, but don't hold me to it! :D hee

And I like this sketch. I love how you were able to make her right eye "glisten". As I have said to others, I struggle with drawing eyes and hands. Ugh.

Happy Sunday! :)
